For their stellar performances against Notre Dame, Michigan State's Aaron Bates and Le'Veon Bell were the recipients of weekly Big Ten awards.

Senior punter/holder Aaron Bates and freshman running back Le'Veon Bell were honored by the Big Ten Conference on Monday following their performances in Michigan State's 34-31 overtime win over Notre Dame last Saturday. Bates was named the Big Ten Special Teams Player of the Week, while Bell was named the Big Ten Freshman of the Week.

Bell has taken home the Freshman of the Week award twice already this season. If he keeps playing like he has so far this season, he will likely be honored at least a few more times during the course of the rest of the year.
