The Michigan State Spartans (3-2) hit the road on Sunday after winning three games in a row at home, to take on the Eastern Michigan Eagles (4-1) in Ypsilanti.

Eastern Michigan beat Rochester (MI) on Wednesday 62-43 to bump to log their third win in a row, as well. The Eagles are ready to put their strong start to the test with the game today against Michigan State followed up on Tuesday with a game at No. 5 Syracuse.

Senior point guard Darrell Lampley leads a balanced offensive attack for the Eagles with 15 points and 3.4 assists per game. No other Eastern Michigan players average double-figures, as coach Chalres Ramsey employs a small, three guard starting lineup around 6-10 center Matt Balkema and 6-9 forward Jamell Harris.

The Spartans used a strong second half to put away Wisconsin-Milwaukee 68-55 this past Wednesday before taking a few days off for practice over Thanksgiving. They likely shot a few extra free throws as the Spartans are shooting just 63% as a team from the line after missing 14 of 36 free throws against Milwaukee.

The Spartans won't win this game at the line, however. Instead they'll have to rely on their ability to defend and attack the glass, where they rank 12th in the nation with 42.4 rebounds per game, to create opportunities to score.
