College Football BCS Rankings: Michigan State Stays At No. 17, Michigan Falls

The latest BCS rankings are in and the Michigan State Spartans are in the same spot as last week even after they received a huge boost for their Rose Bowl aspirations this weekend. Legends Division contenders Nebraska and Michigan were both upset, virtually clearing a path for the Spartans to the first Big Ten championship game. The Spartans control their own destiny for a BCS berth despite being at the No. 17 spot in the standings. They will visit Iowa this coming week in a critical game within the division.

Michigan's loss on the road at Iowa saw the Wolverines drop from No. 15 to No. 24. Michigan will visit Illinois this week, needing a victory to stay alive in the Legends Division race.

College Football Rankings, Week 11: Michigan State Climbs To No. 13, Michigan Slips To No. 21 In Coaches Poll

After a bad, 24-16 loss to the Iowa Hawkeyes on Saturday, the Michigan Wolverines have expectedly slipped in the Coaches Poll today. While a win could've possibly put them back into the Top 10, the loss dropped them to the No. 21 spot. 

Michigan State struggled to beat Minnesota, but they took over the No. 13 spot Michigan held last week in this week's poll, climbing three spots from No. 16.

Penn State, on a bye and receiving plenty of negative publicity yesterday, moved up three spots to No. 12. Wisconsin, after their blow out over Purdue, moved up from No. 17 to No. 14.
