NFL Draft 2012: Jerel Worthy Likely Going Pro

After an All-American season at defensive tackle it appears that Michigan State's Jerel Worthy will be going pro. Michigan State has called a press conference at 2 p.m. today with Worthy and head coach Mark Dantonio, and it is expected that Worthy will announce his intentions there:

Worthy was a monster this season for the Spartans, helping them win the Big Ten's Legends Division and reach the first ever Big Ten Championship game. He was named first-team All-American by Associated Press, American Football Coaches Association, Walter Camp Foundation, Sporting News, CBSSports.com, NBCSports.com and Yahoo! Sports. His AP All-American nomination was Michigan State's first for a defensive tackle in 45 years since Bubba Smith in 1966. in his Michigan State career he has 12.0 sacks and 25.5 tackles for loss.
