Shane Jones wasn't the only recruit to commit to Michigan State on Tuesday. The Spartans also picked up a commitment from Pennsylvania quarterback Damion Terry, who announced his decision on Twitter.
I am officially a Michigan State Spartan!!

Terry is unranked on Rivals and Scout. On 24/7 Sports, he has three stars and is the 23rd-ranked dual-threat quarterback in the nation.
According to Rivals, Terry's offer list includes Michigan State, Boston College, Duke and Illinois.

Michigan State picked up a commitment on Monday from Cincinnati linebacker Shane Jones. Jones is Michigan State's second linebacker commit for 2013 (Jon Reschke is the other) and the sixth overall commit for next year's recruiting class.
Jones is ranked 14th at his position on Rivals, which gives him four stars. Scout and 24/7 Sports only give him three stars. The former has Jones 33rd at his position and the latter has him 26th.
According to Rivals, Jones holds offers from the following schools: Michigan State, Arizona, Boston College, Cincinnati, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Penn State, Pittsburgh, Purdue and Texas A&M, among others.
As pointed out by Chris Vannini, Jones has now joined the list of players from Moeller High School to commit to the Spartans.
Other Cincinnati Moeller players that have come to #MSU under Dantonio include Greg Jones, Marcus Rush and Monty Madaris.

Earlier this week, Michigan State added its fifth commitment for 2013. Texas offensive guard Caleb Benenoch committed to the Spartans on Tuesday, becoming the first offensive lineman to join their 2013 football recruiting class.
Benenoch is a 6-foot-6, 321-pound guard. To say the least, he's a big man, especially when you consider he is only a junior in high school.
Rivals hasn't rated Benenoch yet, but Scout and 24/7 Sports both give him three stars. Scout has him ranked 19th at offensive guard for 2013.
According to Rivals, Benenoch holds offers from Michigan State, Kansas State, Mississippi, West Virginia and Tulane.

Michigan State has now picked up two commitments in the last day. Ohio safety Jalyn Powell was the first to commit to MSU this weekend, and Wisconsin running back R.J. Shelton decided to join the Spartans' 2013 football recruiting class on Sunday.
Proud to say that I will be a MSU SPARTAN!!
— Rj Shelton Jr. (@RJ_Shelton) February 26, 2012
Shelton, like Powell, is unrated on Rivals and Scout. Also like Powell, Shelton has three stars on 24/7 Sports. which ranks him fourth in the state of Wisconsin and 12th in the all-purpose backs category.
Rivals only shows an MSU offer for Shelton, but Scout and 24/7 Sports have three other Big Ten schools on his offer list: Iowa, Minnesota and Wisconsin.

Michigan State held a junior day event on Saturday and picked up a commitment from Ohio safety Jalyn Powell. He is commitment No. 3 for the Spartans for the class of 2013.
Powell is unrated on Rivals and Scout right now. 24/7 Sports has evaluated him and gives him three stars. That site also ranks him 39th at safety and 30th in the state of Ohio. Nationally, he is currently unrated.
None of the three recruiting sites can seem to agree on Powell's offer list. Rivals doesn't list any offers, but obviously he has one from MSU considering he is now committed. Scout actually lists offers from MSU, Michigan and West Virginia. Finally, 24/7 Sports lists an offer from only the Spartans.
In any case, Powell is now a part of Michigan State's 2013 recruiting class, joining Gerald Holmes and Jon Reschke, who committed earlier this month.

Commitment No. 2 of Michigan State's 2013 football recruiting class is linebacker Jon Reschke, who hails from Bloomfield, Michigan. Reschke committed to the Spartans on Friday, as announced on his Twitter account.
Just joined the Spartan family. COMMITTED TO MICHIGAN STATE!!!!
— Jonny Reschke (@J_Reschke48) February 17, 2012
Reschke is a four-star linebacker on the three major recruiting sites that have actually handed out stars so far. The only one that hasn't is ESPN, and it lists Reschke as a player in the ESPNU 150. 24/7 Sports, which has put together rankings for 2013 already, has Reschke fifth in the state of Michigan, 16th at his position and 221st in the nation.
According to Rivals, Reschke holds offers from Michigan State and Toledo.

With National Signing Day in the rear-view mirror, schools have squarely turned their focus to the 2013 recruiting cycle. Many schools already have commits for the 2013 class, and Michigan State joined the mix on Sunday when Flint (Carmen Ainsworth High School) running back Gerald Holmes verballed to the Spartans.
Holmes has only been rated so far by 24/7 Sports, which gives him three stars. He is unrated on the other sites, and even 24/7 Sports hasn't put together extensive rankings yet for the class of 2013. Since the 2012 class only recently was wrapped up, full rankings for 2013 aren't out right now.
According to 24/7 Sports and ESPN, Holmes holds offers from only Michigan State, Central Michigan and Toledo.

ESPN 150 Football Rankings For 2013 Include 0 Michigan State Commits
ESPN's top 150 football recruiting rankings for 2013 were made public on Tuesday. Although two of Michigan State's commits for 2013 are considered four-star recruits, neither of them made the cut for the top 150. In fact, none of Michigan State's seven commits are in the top 150.
Michigan State's two four-star recruits on ESPN are quarterback Damion Terry, who just committed on Monday, and offensive guard Caleb Benenoch. Running backs R.J. Shelton and Gerald Holmes are both considered three-star recruits, and currently safety Jalyn Powell and linebackers Jon Reschke and Shane Jones haven't been evaluated.
What's odd about all of this is Reschke and Jones are four-star recruits on Rivals. Also on Rivals, Benenoch has three stars and Terry hasn't been evaluated. It's unusual to see such big discrepancies between two recruiting sites, but they obviously disagree on Michigan State's current commitments.
For the state of Michigan, Holmes is Michigan State's only commit included in the in-state rankings. He comes in at No. 10. Of the other 10 players in the rankings, five are committed to Michigan, one is committed to Florida, one is committed to Notre Dame, one is committed to Iowa and the other two are uncommitted.
