DeAnthony Arnett, a former Tennessee receiver who transferred to Michigan State in January, will be eligible to play for the Spartans this season, according to the official Twitter page for Michigan State football:
The NCAA has granted WR DeAnthony Arnett's request for a residence waiver, so he will be eligible to play in 2012.

Arnett, a Saginaw native, chose Tennessee over Michigan State and Michigan but said he wanted to transfer closer to home because of his father, who has had multiple heart attacks.
Tennessee had initially blocked his transfer to either MSU or Michigan, but the school reneged and permitted the transfer to MSU.
As a freshman at Tennessee, Arnett had 24 receptions for 242 yards. Rivals.com ranked Arnett as the No. 12 receiver prospect in the 2011 class.
