ESPN has released its schedule for the 2012 ESPN Tip-Off Marathon -- always a big day in July. The Tip-Off Marathon is an event that lasts a full 24 hours to get the college basketball schedule off to a proper start. There are plenty of games that aren't particularly noteworthy, such as Davidson at New Mexico -- at 2:00 a.m. -- and Stony Brook at Rider -- at 6:00 a.m. -- but there's also plenty worth noting.
For one, Michigan State will be taking on Kansas in the Champions Classic in the Georgia Dome in Atlanta. The Spartans will be playing at 7 p.m. ET and will be the second-to-last game of the 24 hours. Duke vs. Kentucky will be the final game, coming on 30 minutes after MSU/KU. On top of that, for the region, Detroit will be taking on St. John's at 2 p.m. ET.
All of this is on Tuesday, Nov. 13, and you can view the full schedule at ESPN.
