Michigan State Vs. Boise State Odds: Spartans Favored By Touchdown

Stay connected for news and updates

After opening up as four-point favorites, the No. 13-ranked Michigan State Spartans are now expected to beat No. 24 Boise State Broncos by a touchdown, the line tracker at OddsShark.com is showing. Friday's season opening contest (8 p.m ET) between the Big Ten and Mountain West Conference opponents is one of the more anticipated showdowns of college football's non-conference slate.

Both teams enter the contest with greenhorn quarterbacks, as the Spartans are starting Andrew Maxwell, who's taking over for Kirk Cousins, while the Broncos are replacing Kellen Moore with junior Joe Southwick. Overall, Boise State returns only seven returning players.

The Broncos will feature their usual up-tempo offense, which Michigan State has been preparing for.
