Michigan State Vs. Central Michigan: Spartans In Control At Half

The Michigan State Spartans are off to a good start at the Kelly/Shorts Stadium in Mount Pleasant, Mich.

At the half, they hold a 24-0 lead over Central Michigan, and look well in control of the game. Le'Veon Bell is leading the way for No. 11 Michigan State, while the unranked Chippewas are finding it difficult to get some traction on the offensive side of the ball.

Bell has 15 carries for 57 yards with a pair of touchdowns to his credit. He got the scoring started on the Spartans' second possession of the game, converting a third down into 6 points with a 1-yard run. His second strike came at the very beginning of the second quarter, when he rushed for 7 yards to make the game 14-0 following a Dan Conroy extra point.

Still, the second quarter was mostly uneventful, given that the second touchdown of the game occurred just five seconds in. But it picked up again in the final seconds as Andrew Maxwell hit Dion Sims for a 20-yard touchdown pass to make it 21-0. Then, Ryan Radcliffe threw an interception to Johnny Adams on the second play of Central Michigan's drive, leading to a Dan Conroy 29-yard field goal to make it 24-0.
