Michigan State will hold its annual "Midnight Madness" event on Oct. 12 at the Breslin Center.

The Michigan St. Spartans' basketball program will hold their annual "Midnight Madness" event on Oct. 12, the school announced on Monday. The event will take place at the Breslin Center, where doors will open at 9:30 p.m. ET.

From the official release:

The event begins with autographs for Spartan fans on the Breslin Center concourse. The formal program will begin at 10:30 p.m. and feature the introduction of the men's and women's basketball teams. The evening will also include promotional giveaways and performances by the Spartan Marching Band, Michigan State cheerleaders, MSU dance team and Sparty.

The Spartans will continue training after that, leading up to their exhibition opener against Northwood (Fla.) on Oct. 30. After one more preseason game, the Spartans will open their non-conference regular season slate on Nov. 9 against the Connecticut Huskies at Ramstein Air Base in Germany.

The Spartans return to East Lansing on Nov. 18, as they welcome Texas Southern to the Breslin Center for their home opener.
