The Spartans could receive a boost on Wednesday with the return of two major contributors.
The Michigan State Spartans could see the return of guards Gary Harris and Travis Trice as soon as Wednesday, according to Diamond Leung of of MLive.com.
Harris was the team's leading scorer through four games before spraining his left shoulder. The freshman has averaged 12 points in just 23 minutes per game, and says he is "healing pretty fast" from the injury that has kept him out of the last two games.
The 6'4" guard from Fishers, Ind. returned to practice on Monday, but is still wearing a sling off the court to maximize healing. Head coach Tom Izzo says it will be up to doctors whether or not Harris returns to action on Wednesday as the Spartans take on the Miami Hurricanes.
Trice is attempting to return after a concussion and broken nose has sidelined him for five games. The sophomore played 18 minutes and scored three points in the opener against Connecticut before being injured. Trice will wear a protective mask and may get a few minutes on Wednesday.
