Andrew Weber-US PRESSWIRE

Michigan State tight end Dion Sims is expected to see a heavier workload when the Spartans take on Wisconsin.

Michigan State tight end Dion Sims should see more action this week when the Spartans take on the Wisconsin Badgers on Oct. 27 according to head coach Mark Dantonio. Sims injured his ankle early in Michigan State's 31-27 win over Indiana on Oct. 6. The injury forced Sims to miss the Oct. 13 game against Iowa and although he suited up against Michigan, he was not involved in the offensive game plan, recording no catches.

Prior to his injury Sims was Michigan State's leading receiver with 24 catches for 313 yards and two touchdowns in what was looking like a breakout year for the junior.

The Spartans have lost their last two games, falling 19-16 in double overtime to Iowa and losing 12-10 to Michigan on a late field goal, and now sit at 4-4 on the season. MSU travels to Wisconsin to take on the Badgers at 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday.
