Smotrycz Leads Michigan Basketball Over Bowling Green, 69-50

Ann Arbor, MI  - Evan Smotrycz scored 14 points and grabbed seven rebounds to lead the Michigan Wolverines to a 69-50 win over the Bowling Green Falcons in the opening round of the Legends Classic at historic Crisler Arena.

Jordan Morgan scored 12 points and grabbed eight rebounds for the Wolverines (2-0), while Darius Morris dealt out 11 assists.

A'uston Calhoun scored a career-high 16 points for the Falcons (1-2), while Dee Brown finished with 12.

Michigan led 39-31 at halftime after shooting 15-of-27 from the floor in the first half. Eight different Wolverines scored in the opening 20 minutes.

Michigan pulled away at the start of the second half with an 11-1 run. Bowling Green went without a field goal for the first 7:29 of the half.

Bowling Green shot just 29.6 percent from the floor and just 2-of-14 from long range in the tilt.
