In what could have been Rich Rodriguez's final game as head coach, Michigan looked completely overmatched against a powerful Mississippi State team in a 52-14 loss at the Gator Bowl in Jacksonville, FL. The margin is Michigan's worst ever in a bowl game, surpassing a 45-17 loss to Tennessee in the 2002 Citrus Bowl.
