The SB Nation BlogPoll Top 25 is out and both Michigan teams are on the move. The Michigan Wolverines moved up three spots to No. 14 in the BlogPoll. They're coming off a 36-14 beat down of Purdue, but curiously rank higher than Michigan State, who the Wolverines lost to three weeks ago, 28-14. I guess the loss was far enough away to be out of people's minds.
The Michigan State Spartans on the other hand slid back to No. 16 in the BlogPoll. After beating both Michigan and Wisconsin in back to back weeks, the Spartans laid an head in Lincoln, falling to the Nebraska Cornhuskers 24-3. Quarterback Kirk Cousins threw for just 86 yards and was picked off as the Spartans offense was completely shut down.

The official BCS standings have been released and the Michigan Wolverines move up three spots from No. 18 to No. 15 in the week 10 BCS standings after their 36-14 win over the Purdue Boilmakers. Michigan is now one spot away from being in consideration for an at-large berth and are only one spot behind one other Big 10 team, the Nebraska Cornhuskers who come in at No. 10.
The Michigan St. Spartans drop in the standings after their loss to Nebraska and fell down six spots to No. 17. Other Big 10 teams that appear in the standings are the Penn State Nittany Lions who are one spot ahead of Michigan State at No. 16, and rounding out the Big 10 teams are the Wisconsin Badgers who have lost two games in a row and are now at No. 20.

Although no Big Ten teams figure to be a factor in the race for the BCS National Championship Game, the conference is hoping that two teams end up with a bid to a BCS game. One of the bids will go out to the winner of the Big Ten title game, and the other would have to be an at-large bid to a team ranked highly in the BCS standings.
When the Week 10 BCS standings come out on Sunday night, the expectation is for there to be zero Big Ten team ranked in the top 10. According to Samuel Chi, Nebraska is the highest ranked Big Ten team in the BCS rankings projections at No. 11, followed by Michigan at No. 13 and Penn State at No. 15. Michigan State is nowhere to be found in the top 15 after losing to Nebraska on Saturday.
Here's a look at the full BCS standings projections for Week 10:
1. LSU
2. Alabama
3. Oklahoma State
4. Stanford
5. Boise State
6. Oklahoma
7. Oregon
8. Arkansas
9. South Carolina
10. Virginia Tech
11. Nebraska
12. Houston
13. Michigan
14. Kansas State
15. Penn State
Going forward, teams like Nebraska, Michigan and Michigan State all have their eyes on winning the Legends Division and earning a spot in the Big Ten title game. Because a tie at the end of the regular season is possible, winning is key regardless of if it results in a spot in Indianapolis or not. A team like Michigan, for example, could win out and finish 11-1 and be left out of the Big Ten title game if MSU also wins out since the Spartans hold the tiebreaker. While not making the Big Ten title game would be disappointing, an 11-1 Michigan team is unlikely to be left out of the BCS as an at-large team, so the Wolverines could still end up in a BCS bowl.
Of course, speculating about at-large BCS bids is putting the cart before the horse considering there is still a lot of football to be played.

Just as they did in the USA Today Poll, voters in the AP Top 25 gave Michigan a bump up to 13th in the Week 10 edition of the poll. The Wolverines were close to breaking into the top 10 two weeks ago before losing to Michigan State, and then they fell back to the late teens. Now, with Michigan winning on Saturday against Purdue and a number of teams in the top 15 losing, a top 10 ranking once again is in sight.
Michigan State is out of the top 10 and down to 15th after losing to Nebraska on Saturday. The Spartans received a big bump of their own a week ago after beating Wisconsin. Saturday's ugly loss to the Cornhuskers resulted in Michigan State falling to 15th, which isn't all that bad considering the rest of the schedule includes a lot of winnable games. MSU should be able to move back into the top 10 as long as it gets back to its winning ways in November.
