Though Michigan Wolverines quarterback Denard Robinson approached the NFL advisory board regarding his draft status early in December, he's adamant that he's going to remain at Michigan for another season. Robinson said that it was just a feeling-out process, maybe to get a better idea of his future than to commit to leaving. It's unclear what exactly Robinson heard, but either way, he said that he "expects to be back, and that's it."
Robinson has been very productive this year, though his rushing and passing numbers are actually down. Still, the Wolverines have won three more games than last season, getting to double digits with 10, and he does have more combined touchdowns this time around. As a dual-threat quarterback who really is starting to hone in his passing game, another year of seasoning and potentially adapting to even more throwing could certainly serve him well.
He also said that it was simply a way to get his name out there, according to the Detroit Free Press:
"It was a decision where I was like, I'll put my name out there and see what happens. I thought it was a good idea, so I did it."

Denard Robinson Announces He'll Return To Michigan For Senior Season
Michigan Wolverines quarterback Denard Robinson visited with the NFL Draft advisory board in early January to discuss a potential move to the NFL. It was regarded as sort of a "covering his basis" kind of move, as he himself stated. Now, it looks like that's most definitely true, as he's announced that he's going to return to Michigan for his senior season, along with J.T. Floyd.
The official Michigan Football Twitter account had some quotes from Robinson:
None of this is a surprise, but it's good to have confirmation. Neither Robinson nor Floyd were deemed likely to leave for the NFL, and both were expected back to the Wolverines. Robinson also wants to improve his draft stock, and with a 2012 draft that's already dominated at the top by quarterbacks, it's likely a good decision to be coming back to Michigan.
