The Michigan Wolverines may be looking back at their awful 64-49 loss against Ohio State and they're likely looking forward as well to their rivalry game against the Michigan State Spartans on Sunday, but they can't afford to look past their game Wednesday as they face the Indiana Hoosiers.
Michigan are fourth in the Big 10 at present but have had a strange streak of six games where they have alternated wins and losses. With a loss to Ohio State the pattern would seem to indicate that a home win for the Wolverines is in the cards, but Indiana are a team hungry and desperate for a victory. After a strong start in conference play the Hoosiers have dropped several games to leave themselves at 5-5 in the Big 10. With both teams in the rankings right now but struggling a bit, it should be a chippy affair to see who can pull themselves up in the conference.
Indiana won the last meeting between these two teams, a close 73-71 affair.
The game is at the Crisler Center at 6:30 PM ET.

Michigan Vs. Indiana: Wolverines Down Indiana 68-56
No. 23 Michigan moved to 13-0 at home with Wednesday’s 68-56 win over struggling Indiana.
The Wolverines were led by freshman guard Trey Burke, who poured in 18 points on nine shots. He was two-for-two from downtown and has now scored at least 13 points in eight of Michigan’s 10 conference games.
Tim Hardaway Jr. and Zack Novak each had 13 for Michigan, which has neither won nor lost consecutive games since back-to-back wins over Wisconsin and Northwestern on Jan. 8 and Jan. 11.
Indiana, which is ranked No. 20 in the AP Poll despite losing five of its last seven, was led by Jordan Hulls’ 18 points. That wasn’t nearly enough, though, as only one other Hoosier scored double-figures (Cody Zeller had 11 points).
The Wolverines are now 17-6 overall and 7-3 in the Big Ten, moving into a second-place tie with Wisconsin. At 7-2, Ohio State sits atop the conference standings. The Buckeyes, who beat Michigan last Sunday, comes to Ann Arbor later this month.
