Michigan Football Recruiting: Logan Tuley-Tillman Commits

At this point I think it's safe to say that this has been the best weekend in Michigan football recruiting history. After already picking up seven commitments on Saturday and Sunday, the Wolverines added an eighth Sunday night when Illinois offensive tackle Logan Tuley-Tillman verballed. He announced his decision to commit on Twitter: "Officially a Wolverine & better yet a Michigan Man."

Tuley-Tillman, like the other seven new commitments, is a four-star recruit. He is 109th in the nation on Rivals and 85th on 24/7 Sports. The latter has him 13th at his position and sixth in the state of Illinois.

Tuley-Tillman's offer list is very impressive. According to Rivals, he holds offers from Michigan, Alabama, Arkansas, Boston College, Florida State, Illinois, Iowa, Missouri, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma State, South Carolina, Texas A&M and Wisconsin, among several other schools.

I suppose nothing should be a surprise after the weekend Michigan had, but the timing of his commitment came a bit out of left field. Although Tuley-Tillman has visited Michigan numerous times, his timetable seemed to be based on taking his time with the recruiting process. Also, he was at Wisconsin this weekend, making it seem unlikely that he would suddenly commit to Michigan. That is exactly what happened, though.

To recap, Michigan now has 11 commitments for 2013. The Wolverines went into the weekend with only three, but they added six new commits on Saturday and two on Sunday. The most amazing part is all eight of the new commits are four-star recruits, giving Michigan 10 so far for the 2013 class.
