In the latest USA Today/ESPN Coaches Poll, there's few changes up in the top five, but the rest of the list is seeing some major changes. While Kentucky, Syracuse, Ohio State and Missouri occupy the same spots in the top four, there's some changes just below. Duke dropped out of the top five to the bottom of the top ten at No. 9, while North Carolina moved up to No. 5 from its No. 6 tie with Baylor, where they remain. Florida and Murray State moved from 11 and 9 respectively to hold a No. 7 tie, while Kansas rounds out the top ten.
Michigan State finds themselves falling, down two spots from No. 10 to No. 12, following a loss to Illinois on Jan. 31. They did pick up a win in their last outing, a 64-54 win over the rival Michigan, but it's not enough to prevent them from falling, going 3-3 over their last six games.
The Wolverines are falling even further, dropping from No. 22 down past Wisconsin, Indiana and Louisville to sit at No. 25, just barely making the list. The aforementioned Indiana and Louisville are sitting in a tie for No. 23. Michigan's last eight games have been alternating wins and losses, with their most recent game being a loss to Michigan State. They've got an easier schedule going forward, but that also means they'll be hard-pressed to rocket back up the rankings, outside of a mid-February showdown with the Buckeyes.

College Basketball Rankings: Spartans, Wolverines Struggling In AP Top 25
The AP Top 25 has been released for the week of Feb. 6, and there's only a couple changes at the top. There are plenty of changes in the middle and near the bottom worth note, however. Kentucky still occupies the top spot with 63 first-place votes, while Syracuse remains at No. 2 with two first-place votes. With all of the first-place votes accounted for, Ohio State doesn't get any, but they sit at No. 3 with Missouri and North Carolina rounding out the unchanged top five.
Some changes in the top ten include Kansas moving up to No. 7, Florida jumping in from No. 12 to No. 8, Murray State, sitting at an undefeated 23-0 moving up a spot to No. 9 and Duke dropping down to No. 10 from No. 7.
Michigan State also has fallen out of the top ten, with a loss to Illinois putting them at No. 11 from No. 9. Theyve since gone on to win another game, beating rival Michigan on Feb. 5, but they're 3-3 in their last six outings, with two losses coming to un-ranked competition. They've got some tough upcoming games, against Ohio State twice, Wisconsin and Indiana.
The Wolverines, however, actually moves up a spot from last week. They have been inconsistent of late, but did beat Indiana on Feb. 1. That being said, they did lose to MSU a day before the rankings came out, so that may mean they're in for a drop for the next week of rankings. They've swapped wins and losses in their last eight games.
