Michigan Vs. Nebraska Final Score: Michigan Gets 62-46 Road Win Against Huskers

Michigan moved to 18-7 and 8-4 in the Big Ten with Wednesday’s 62-46 win in Lincoln against the Cornhuskers.

Michigan, ranked 22nd in the latest AP poll, mustered just 22 first-half points, but even that was enough to keep Nebraska at bay. Whether it was stifling defense or sluggish offense, Nebraska opened the game 1-of-12 from the floor en route to a 15-point half.

Three Wolverines scored in double figures, led by Zack Novak’s 14 points on 6 of 9 shooting. Novak went over the 1,000-career point mark in the game, needing just six when they tipped off.. Stu Douglass had 13, and Trey Burke chipped in 12.

Michigan hit 11 of 24 three-point attempts, including three apiece from Douglass and Burke. Overall, the Wolverines were 24 of 46 from the floor, good for 52 percent.

The largest Michigan lead was 37-19, a margin that for offensively-challenged Nebraska – the Huskers rank 301st in points per game – was too much to overcome.

The loss dropped NU to 11-12 and 3-9 in the Big Ten, just one game ahead of last-place Penn State.

Michigan will get a visit from Illinois on Sunday before a six-day layoff in advance of a home showdown with Ohio State next Saturday.

Michigan Vs. Nebraska: Wolverines Look To Rebound On The Road

The Michigan Wolverines have been pretty exceptional at home this season, but the squad has struggled when they're forced to take to the road. They have a chance to change that on Wednesday night, however, in their Big Ten conference game against the Nebraska Cornhuskers.

There aren't many must-win games in February when it comes to college basketball, but a victory on the road would likely instill some confidence in the team following the weekend loss to the Michigan State Spartans -- especially considering it's on the road. The Wolverines have won just one of their past seven attempts when appearing as the away team, a surprising statistic consideing their 17-7 record overall this season.

For those interested in watching Tim Hardaway Jr. and company do their thing against the Cornhuskers, the Big Ten Network will be providing coverage at 8:30 p.m., following the completion of the Michigan State game.
