Michigan Football Recruiting: Wolverines Have 11 Commits In ESPN 150

ESPN released its first top 150 recruiting rankings for the class of 2013 on Tuesday. Amazingly, the rankings include 11 of Michigan's 17 commits. The Wolverines lead the nation in the number of commits in the top 150. The next closest schools are Texas and Florida with seven commits each, showing how good of a start Michigan is off to.

Here's a rundown of the Michigan commits in the ESPN 150 and where they are ranked: QB Shane Morris (37th), CB Gareon Conley (63rd), LB Mike McCray (75th), OL David Dawson (92nd), OL Logan Tuley-Tillman (97th), S Dymonte Thomas (98th), OL Chris Fox (105th), CB Jourdan Lewis (107th), OL Kyle Bosch (112th), DE Taco Charlton (115th) and OL Patrick Kugler (121st).

All five of Michigan's offensive line commits made the ESPN 150. That is pretty amazing, especially when you add in the fact that the Wolverines have a quarterback commit ranked in the top 40.

As far as star rankings go, Michigan has 15 four-star recruits. The Wolverines' other two recruits have three stars. By comparison, Michigan had only 11 four-star recruits on ESPN for all of 2012. It's only April and Michigan is up to 15 four-star recruits for 2013.

In the state of Michigan, the top three players (Morris, Dawson and Lewis) are committed to Michigan, as are No. 7 Khalid hill and No. 8 Wyatt Shallman.

In the state of Ohio, four of the top six players are committed to Michigan (Conley, McCray, Thomas and Charlton). Michigan wide receiver commit Jaron Dukes is 10th, and the Wolverines have three more commits in the next 10 spots. This means that all eight of Michigan's commits from Ohio are ranked in the top 20 in the state.
