Trey Burke Expected To Declare For NBA Draft; His Father Denies Report

Is Michigan Wolverines point guard Trey Burke going to the NBA or not? Burke was reportedly considering that decision earlier this spring. A Wednesday report from CBS Sports said that Burke was expected to declare for the NBA draft, but a subsequent report cited Burke's father who said the opposite.

Here was Benji Burke's response to the CBS report about his son's basketball future:

Burke's father, Benji, told AnnArbor.com in a text message shortly after the report surfaced that "Trey has not declared and I haven't seen the report."

Neither Michigan or Burke have made a statement indicating what Burke actually plans to do. It was Burke's father who said in late March that his son was considering leaving Michigan for the pros. The accuracy and timing of the CBS report may hinge on the sources cited and who knows what at this point in time.
