Big Ten Football Schedule 2012: Additional Start Times Announced For Michigan, MSU Games

A week after the Big Ten announced its primetime schedule for 2012, more announcements were made about start times for the 2012 season. One announcement involved Michigan's homecoming game against Illinois. From MGoBlue:

The University of Michigan football team announced Thursday (May 3) that its Oct. 13 homecoming game against Illinois at Michigan Stadium is slated for a 3:30 p.m. EDT kickoff and will be broadcast live by ABC.

The start times for four of Michigan's games in 2012 have now been announced, and all are set to get going at 3:30 p.m. or later (Eastern Time). There's a stretch where Michigan plays at Notre Dame at 7:30 p.m., at Purdue at 4 p.m., vs. Illinois at 3:30 p.m. and a week after playing Michigan State (the time is still TBA for that game), the Wolverines will take on Nebraska at 8 p.m. The MSU game could easily be a 3:30 p.m. start, and it's expected that Michigan's season opener against Alabama will be a night game.

Speaking of the Spartans, they also announced a couple more start times on Thursday.

The game between Michigan State and Wisconsin will be a rematch of the Big Ten Championship Game and the third meeting between the Spartans and Badgers in two years. It's no surprise ABC has already decided to broadcast it.
