During spring training, New York Mets third baseman had to wear a No. 16 Michigan football jersey to repay a bet he lost with Mets COO Jeff Wilpon. The bet was over the Sugar Bowl, and Wilpon's Wolverines were victorious, so Wright, who is a Virginia native, had to wear the jersey.
On Friday, Wright was once again photographed wearing the jersey, this time because he was with Michigan quarterback Denard Robinson. Wright wore Robinson's jersey and Robinson wore Wright's jersey. Check it out:
Robinson was in New York on Friday as part of the Closing Achievement Gap Initiative. He spoke to 600 eighth-graders and later headed to Citi Field to meet Wright and speak with Wilpon and Mets manager Terry Collins.
