Michigan Football's Fitzgerald Toussaint, Frank Clark To Practice Monday

Suspended by the team after a pair of off-the-field incidents this summer, Michigan football players Fitzgerald Toussaint and Frank Clark were both officially cleared to practice by head coach Brady Hoke during Sunday's media day.

While Hoke has yet to announce specific punishments for each player leading up to Michigan's Sept. 1 opener against Alabama, this news was the next logical step for the program to get out of the way as the season draws closer. Toussaint, projected as not only Michigan's starting tailback but one of the most dynamic runners in the Big Ten, was picked up for drunken driving in July, while Clark is being accused of second-degree home invasion stemming from a dorm room laptop theft.

Although it's clear that both guys will be needed in a big way against Nick Saban's dangerous Alabama squad in order for Michigan to pull out a win, Hoke is expected to levee at least a moderate slap on the wrist for such a pivotal game. How the two players conduct themselves in the coming days could very well determine how long they each sit out on Sept. 1, so it's important for the program as a whole to know both guys will be back at practice on Monday.
