A Michigan Wolverines football player reportedly suffered a spinal injury Friday morning.

A Michigan Wolverines football player reportedly suffered a spinal injury on Friday morning. Details are scarce at this point, but apparently ambulance crews responded to Schembechler Hall at around 9 a.m. following a 9-1-1 call, according to Kyle Feldscher.

It's unknown which player was injured as well as the exact nature of the injury, only that it's spinal and involving the Michigan football team. The severity is currently unknown, but Feldscher is working on either confirming with the football program itself or the hospital to get any further details -- neither of which has been successful yet.

Further information will surely be out at some point Friday, but for now it's probably safe to just hope for the best and that this was simply precautionary on the part of the program.
