Michigan Football: Elliott Mealer On Track To Win Starting Job At Left Guard

Stay connected for news and updates

Senior left guard Elliott Mealer appears to be gaining a grasp on the starting left guard job on the offensive line for the Michigan Wolverines, according to reports.

Mealer has been a reserve offensive lineman and special teams contributor throughout his career at Michigan, but it appears coach Brady Hoke is ready to put all of Mealer's experience to work in a starting role. Michigan camp opened up with an open competition for the left guard spot with redshirt sophomore Joey Burzynski and five-star freshman Kyle Kalis fighting for the spot with Mealer.
