The Tigers will know Friday night whether they'll be flying to New York or staying home to welcome Baltimore in the American League Championship series.

The Detroit Tigers will not only learn their American League Championship series opponent after Friday night, they'll also know whether they will be staying home or hitting the road this weekend.

If the New York Yankees win Game 5 of the AL Division series on Friday, the Tigers will head out to New York for Games 1 and 2 this Saturday and Sunday.

However, if the Orioles end up clinching a berth in the ALCS, Detroit will host Baltimore in the first two games of the AL Championship series this weekend.

In any event, first pitch for Game 1 of the ALCS is set for 8 p.m. ET on Saturday, and will be televised on TBS.

Game 2 on Sunday will get underway at 4 p.m. ET, and, like the rest of the series, the contest can be seen on TBS.

The Tigers and their respective opponent will then get Monday off before resuming the series with Game 3 on Tuesday, Oct. 16, at 8 p.m. ET.
