Game 5 of the ALCS between the Detroit Tigers and New York Yankees will start at 4:07 p.m. ET if necessary.

If the Detroit Tigers lose on Thursday and a Game 5 of the American League Championship Series against the New York Yankees is necessary, TBS announced that it will be played at 4:07 p.m. ET on Friday in Detroit.

Friday was originally schedule to be a rest day for the ALCS before Game 3 was postponed on Wednesday night due to rain and moved to 4:07 p.m. on Thursday. As a result Game 5 will be played in the afternoon on Friday (if necessary), prior to Game 5 of the National League Championship Series between the St. Louis Cardinals and San Francisco Giants, which will take place at 8:00 p.m. ET in St. Louis.

If the series reaches a sixth game it will shift back to New York for the final two games on Saturday and Sunday. Both of those games would take place at 8:00 p.m. if necessary. The Tigers need one more win to move on to the World Series.
