The Detroit Tigers will be traveling to either San Francisco or Detroit for Game 1 of the World Series on Tuesday afternoon.

Depending on who wins the National League Championship Series on Monday night, the Detroit Tigers will travel to either San Francisco or St. Louis at noon on Tuesday afternoon, according to Jason Beck of MLB.com. The World Series is scheduled to begin on Wednesday night assuming no weather complications.

If rain does happen to delay Game 7 of the NLCS to Tuesday, Beck says that the team plans to travel to whichever city about two-and-a-half hours following the completion of that game. That wouldn't leave the team with much time before Game 1 of the World Series, though, so it's likely hoping to see no problems on Monday night.

Following the first two games in the city of the NL champion, Games 3, 4 and 5 will be played in Detroit's Comerica Park. If the series extends from there to six or seven games, those remaining games will be played back in the NL champs' home ballpark.
