The Detroit Tigers and San Francisco Giants remain scoreless in Game 2 of the World Series Thursday.
Giants starter Madison Bumgarner has given up just two hits, struck out eight and walked one in six innings. Tigers starter Doug Fister has given up three hits, walked one and struck out three in his six innings of work.
The Tigers have had just one base runner, on a walk by Austin Jackson in the top of the sixth, in the last three innings. Delmon Young and Omar Infante are the only Tigers with a hit. Young has the game's only extra-base hit after he doubled in the second.
The Giants also have had just one base-runner, on a single by Pablo Sandoval in the bottom of the sixth, since loading the bases in the second inning. The team's only three hits are by Sandoval, Buster Posey and Gregor Blanco, all singles.
The Tigers had the game's best scoring opportunity in the second inning when Prince Fielder attempted to score from first base on a double by Delmon Young with no one out. Fielder was thrown out at home plate.

The Detroit Tigers and San Francisco Giants are tied at 0-0 after three innings in Game 2 of the World Series Thursday.
The Tigers had the best scoring opportunity of the game in the second inning. Prince Fielder led off the inning getting on base after he was hit by a pitch from Giants starter Madison Bumgarner. Delmon Young followed with a double to left field and Tigers third base coach Gene Lamont waved Fielder home, trying to score him from first base. Fielder was thrown out at home on a close play:
The Giants loaded the bases in the bottom of the second with two outs. One of the hits in the inning included a line drive by Gregor Blanco that hit Tigers pitcher Doug Fister in the head:
Tigers medical staff administered concussion tests to Fister on the field, but he was deemed OK and he stayed in the game. Fister walked the next batter he faced, Brandon Crawford, before inducing the pop-up from Bumgarner to end the inning. He retired the Giants in order in the third inning.
