The Tigers will host Game 1 of the ALDS at 6:07 p.m. ET on Saturday from Comerica Park.

After wrapping up the American League Central crown earlier in the week, the Detroit Tigers will officially begin their 2012 postseason quest at 6:07 p.m. ET on Saturday, according to Tigers Director of Media Relations Brian Britten.

Detroit will play host to an unknown opponent over the weekend for two games before heading out for the final three games of the series on the road. Saturday's series opener will air on TBS in primetime, which should give local fans plenty of time to catch both the Michigan and Michigan State college football games scheduled for earlier in the day.

Though manager Jim Leyland has not announced his official playoff pitching rotation, the Tigers should receive a significant boost on Wednesday with the return of right-hander Max Scherzer to the mound after a freak ankle injury. Detroit ace Justin Verlander is fully rested and appears to be a lock to start Game 1, which would mean that Scherzer and fellow righty Doug Fister could be called on for Games 2 and 3.
