The Detroit Tigers have announced their starting rotation as they take on the Oakland A's in the ALDS.

Game 1 of the ALDS between the Tigers and Oakland A's will feature Justin Verlander taking on Jarrod Parker, and Tigers manager Jim Leyland announced the rest of the rotation for the ALDS on Friday. Here's the full Tigers' starting rotation for the series:

Game 1: Justin Verlander

Game 2: Doug Fister

Game 3: Anibal Sanchez

Game 4*: Max Scherzer

Game 5*: Justin Verlander

*If necessary

Jim Leyland had an easy decision to make about the starter for Game 2, and had the following to say about the decision, via the Detroit Free Press:

"It was pretty obvious that Fister was going to pitch the second game."

On the decision between Sanchez and Scherzer for Game 3, Leyland noted that Sanchez has not pitched since Sunday and wanted to get him some work:

"I know it’s only one day, but it’s a little help."

Scherzer last pitched Wednesday against the Kansas City Royals, and if a Game 4 is required he'll take the mound for that one.
