It's not clear right now if Keshawn Martin, Michigan State's electrifying receiver/returner, will be able to play on Saturday when the Spartans head to Iowa for a battle with the Hawkeyes. Martin injured his foot against Northwestern and left the game, and although he was seen walking on the sideline, there was concern it could be a season-ending type of injury. According to Mark Dantonio, it is not quite that severe, but it could keep him out on Saturday. Right now it's a wait-and-see situation.
Michigan State's kicker, Dan Conroy, who has been lights out this season, finally missed a kick. In the bad conditions of a slippery field and windy stadium, Conroy missed a kick last Saturday against Northwestern. Before the game he actually slipped during warm-ups because of the wet field. Dantonio didn't sound concerned about any possible injury, and he actually wasn't aware of the slip until after the game, so nothing appears to be wrong with Conroy.
Saturday's game between the Spartans and Hawkeyes kicks off at 3:30 p.m. It will be broadcast nationally with a reverse mirror, meaning you can watch the game on ABC or ESPN depending on where you live.
