Jordan Morgan's 20 Points Fuel Michigan's 80-58 Win Over Gardner-Webb

The Michigan basketball team has had a different standout in each of its first three games this season. Redshirt freshman Jordan Morgan put up 20 points in Michigan's 80-58 victory over Gardner-Webb at Crisler Arena on Sunday. He shot 9-of-11 from the field, also grabbing eight rebounds, including six on the offensive end.

This story at AnnArbor.com explains how Morgan has shed 30 pounds since last year, and that work obviously paid off in his effort against the Runnin' Bulldogs.

Darius Morris actually led Michigan with 21 points on 8-of-10 shooting from the field, including 2-of-2 from three-point range. The sophomore point guard also dished out 10 assists. Tim Hardaway, Jr. added 15 points, while Stu Douglass scored 10 for the Wolverines.

Gardner-Webb was led in scoring by sophomore guard Brian McNair with 14 points.

Michigan moves to 3-0 on the season. Their next game of the Legends Classic will be Friday at Atlantic City, New Jersey against the No. 10 Syracuse Orangemen.
