Tom Izzo Suspended One Game For 'Secondary Violation'

Michigan State head coach Tom Izzo will not coach Saturday's contest with Prairie View A&M after the NCAA suspended him for one game for employing an "Individual Associated With a Prospect."

The violation occurred during the annual MSU Boys Basketball Camp in June 2010.  The individual who was identified by the NCAA as an IAWP was employed to work with middle school age camper attendees.

Assistant Mark Montgomery will take Izzo's place on Saturday as coach. It sounds messy, but it's only one game and I highly doubt MSU will need Izzo's presence to get by Prairie View.
