Red Wings Face Blues As Chris Osgood Goes For 400 Wins Again

On Sunday Night, the Dallas Stars denied Chris Osgood of his 400th career win by downing the Red Wings in overtime. Tonight in St. Louis, Osgood will get another shot at win No. 400 when he goes up against the Blues.

In two games against the Blues this season, the Red Wings outscored St. Louis by a combined total of 12-5. The first game was on Nov. 17 and the Wings won, 7-3. The Blues were in it after two periods, but in the third Detroit exploded for four unanswered goals. More recently, the Wings beat the Blues by a score of 5-2 a week ago.

In his career, Osgood is 20-11-8 against the Blues. He shut out St. Louis in five of those games and actually won his 300th career game against the Blues.

Osgood was in St. Louis for two seasons. He finished the 2002-03 season in St. Louis after being traded from the Islanders, and he was with the Blues for all of 2003-04. The next season was lost to the NHL lockout, but when hockey returned in 2005 he signed with Detroit again and has been here ever since.
