The first edition of the Rivals100 came out earlier today for the 2011 football recruiting class, and Michigan State commit Lawrence Thomas is ranked No. 11.
↵Thomas received five stars for being ranked so high, meaning if the Rivals100 doesn't change too drastically and Thomas sticks with MSU, the Spartans will land a five-star defensive player from Detroit for the second year in a row.
↵Earlier this year, Detroit Southeastern defensive end William Gholston, the top player in the state of Michigan and a five-star recruit, signed with the Spartans. If Thomas does the same in February 2011, the Michigan State defense will be filled with some serious talent come this time next year.
