Jim Leyland Ejected In Fourth Inning

Tigers manager Jim Leyland was ejected from today's game in the fourth inning after arguing a call with first-base umpire Fieldin Culbreth. Leyland also got into it with Gary Cederstrom, who was the home-plate umpire on Saturday and admitted he blew the call that prevented the Tigers from tying the game.

I don't think Leyland would have been upset enough today to get ejected had Cederstrom not screwed Detroit over yesterday. When he saw another questionable call today, Leyland simply lost it, and there was no looking back after his anger boiled over.

On the bright side, the Tigers scored two runs right after Leyland was tossed, and they now lead 10-4 in the sixth inning. Brennan Boesch hit his 12th home run of the season and has three RBI today. Also, Austin Jackson and Ramon Santiago each have two RBI, and Don Kelly, Gerald Laird and Miguel Cabrera all have one.
