Detroit Lions president Tom Lewand, who was arrested Friday and charged with a DUI, could face NFL discipline according to the USA Today’s Sean Leahy.
Goodell could impose discipline on Lewand under the league’s personal-conduct policy. Goodell, speaking to the NFL Network, reiterated that it’s not just players who will be held accountable for violating the policy:
“Our policies apply to everyone: Yours truly. Presidents, players, coaches, everyone involved with the NFL. And I think Tom recognizes that and of course I will speak to him sometime in the future. And we’ll be gathering the facts. But everybody is accountable and everybody is responsible.”
