Billy Buckner did not make a good first impression in Toledo.
↵Buckner, who the Tigers acquired from Arizona in the Dontrelle Willis trade, gave up eight runs and 14 hits in 4 1/3 innings of work in an 8-4 loss in his first start for the Toledo Mud Hens.
↵The Tigers knew what they were getting when they acquired Buckner, and it was definitely no Stephen Strasburg. Buckner was 3-1 with a 3.53 ERA at Triple-A Reno this year, but struggled with the D-backs, giving up 26 hits and four home runs in 13 innings of work in the big leagues.
