Tigers May Sell Tickets From Near-Perfect Game

The Florida Marlins are selling tickets from Roy Halladay’s gem earlier this season, and the Detroit Tigers are weighing the same possibility.

More than 23,000 tickets were available for last Wednesday’s historic game, but the Tigers aren’t saying whether they’ll put them up for sale. The Marlins auctioned off more than 3,500 in the first five hours from Halladay’s perfect game, which took place four days before Galarraga’s start.

It may look like a money-making scheme by the Tigers, but this could be the organization’s way of validating Galarraga’s accomplishment, as Bud Selig has already said he won’t reverse the call that cost him perfection.
