Mike Modano via text message says Red Wings only team to call so far but said, "if there is only one not a bad one to be.''
While the salary issues would need to worked out, there is no doubt at this point that the Red Wings are interested in Modano.
"We're interested in players that fit our style of play and our salary structure,'' Holland said. "They got to fit both. (Modano) fits our style of play.''
If the salary issue can get worked out, I would be surprised if Modano doesn't become a Wing. Problem is that's a big stumbling block, so it will be interesting to see what happens.
