Greg Monroe Undergoes Successful Foot Surgery

The Pistons' first round selection, Greg Monroe, had no trouble playing through summer league on a bum right foot (averaging 14.6 points and eight rebounds per game) but needed to undergo minor surgery yesterday:

Greg Monroe underwent outpatient surgery on his right foot this morning and will begin rehabilitation immediately, the Detroit Pistons announced today.

Monroe, the seventh overall pick in the NBA draft, is expected to resume full basketball activities in three to four weeks.

Again, this does not seem to be anything to worry about. Monroe should be able to resume basketball activities in three to four weeks, in plenty of time to be ready for fall practices leading up to the preseason games.
