Red Wings To Hold Development Camp Next Week

The Detroit Red Wings will get a good look at all the players they’ve been scouting and drafting the past five years, as the team will hold a development camp next week for its prospects.

Twenty prospects, including the top picks from the last four NHL drafts are expected to attend: Riley Sheahan (2010), Landon Ferraro (2009), Thomas McCollum (2008) and Brendan Smith (2007).

↵

Fourteen additional players will be invited, including Michigan State forwards Dean and Jake Chelios, the sons of former Red Wing Chris Chelios. They will be joined by another teammate, goaltender Drew Palmisano.

None of these guys are expected to be on the team next year, but it will be a good chance for the Wings to find out what these guys can do.
