Set Your DVRs To NHL Network Next Week

For the last couple weeks, NHL Network has been doing a series where they show a different Stanley Cup-clinching victory every weeknight. Since the "Raising the Cup" series started with the finish to the 1975 playoffs, there hasn't been anything of interest to Red Wings fans so far. Fear not, though, because the good stuff is coming up next week.

On Wednesday, Aug. 4, Red Wings fans will have a chance to watch game four of the 1997 Stanley Cup Final. As you probably already know, that was a 2-1 victory for the Red Wings, giving them a sweep against the Flyers and their first Stanley Cup since 1955. The game includes Darren McCarty's ESPY-winning goal, as well as Mike Vernon winning the Conn Smythe Trophy.

A day later, on Aug. 5, NHL Network will show game four of the Red Wings-Capitals series in 1998. Of course, the Wings won that game for their second straight Stanley Cup and their second straight sweep in the Stanley Cup Final. The best part of that game is the celebration afterward with Vladimir Konstantinov.

Both games start at 8 p.m. ET.
