This year, Michigan is participating in the Legends Classic, which is being held on the Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving in Atlantic City. The tournament really only includes four teams (Michigan, Syracuse, Georgia Tech and UTEP), because all of the hosts of the regional sites advance to Atlantic City no matter what happens in their two home games.
↵Michigan's two home games in the Legends Classic will come against Bowling Green and Gardner-Webb. The Bowling Green game is set to be held on Nov. 18 and Gardner-Webb will come to Crisler Arena three days later.
↵These "regional round" games really only serve as a warm-up for the actual games in the tournament in Atlantic City. There Michigan will play either Syracuse, Georgia Tech or UTEP in the semifinal and then another one of those three teams a day later in the final/third-place game.
↵Michigan State played in this tournament last year and lost to Florida in the semifinal before destroying UMass the next day in the third-place game.
