The 2010 college football season is fast approaching, and both Michigan and Michigan State began practice yesterday. The Wolverines are busy preparing for the UConn Huskies, and MSU is getting ready for Western Michigan. Both teams are going to be spending the next weeks focused on mainly football, but they will get a bit of a break later this month to meet with the fans.
↵Michigan has scheduled its annual Fan Day event at the Big House for Aug. 22.
↵↵↵The event, which is an opportunity to see the newly renovated Big House prior to the opener against Connecticut on Sept. 4, is free and open to the public. All gates at the Big House will open starting at 11 a.m. Parking will be available in the lots adjacent to Michigan Stadium and Pioneer High School. In order to expedite the autograph process and accommodate as many fans as possible, players and head coach Rich Rodriguez will autograph one item per person.

Michigan State's annual "Meet the Spartans" event will be held in downtown East Lansing on Aug. 17 (a week from today).
↵↵↵Players and coaches will gather in downtown East Lansing on Aug. 17 for the eighth annual "Meet the Spartans" event 5:30 to 7 p.m.
↵Coach Mark Dantonio and players will be available for autographs and photos under tents at Albert and MAC avenues.

Sparty, MSU cheerleaders and the Spartans' dance team will also be at the event.
