NFL Roster Cuts: Detroit Lions Part Ways With 4 Players

By 4 p.m. (ET) on Tuesday, all NFL teams will have to trim down their roster to a maximum of 75 players. Teams will then have to get down to 53 players by 4 p.m. on Saturday.

With the first deadline coming in 24 hours, many teams have already made enough moves to get down to 75 players. Others will wait until tomorrow to make the cuts, whereas some teams, such as the Lions, got the process started today:

Lions waive WR Eric Fowler, DE Chima Ihekwoaba, LB Lee Campbell, and waive injured TE Jake Nordin.

The Lions also added linebacker Rocky Boiman today, so they currently have 77 players on their roster. That means two more cuts will have to be made by this time tomorrow.
