Denzel Valentine Commits To Michigan State

It seems like Michigan State has been getting a football or basketball commit just about every day for the last week or so, and that trend continued today with Denzel Valentine verballing to the Spartans.

Valentine, a 6-foot-5 junior guard, verbally committed to MSU men’s basketball coach Tom Izzo this morning. He picked the Spartans over Michigan, Georgetown and Oakland, and will officially sign a letter of intent a year from this fall.

Valentine’s father and high school coach, Carlton Valentine, was a standout for MSU two decades ago.

As soon as Valentine picked up an offer from MSU recently, it looked like his recruitment was soon going to come to an end. As it turns out, that is exactly what happened. Valentine got his offer from MSU and is now the second member of the class of 2012, joining Kenny Kaminski, who committed at the end of last month.
